ROY S WHITLEY

Osage – Roy S Whitley, 88, died Friday in Kingsport, Tenn. Funeral services will be Monday at Clinton.

Born in Osage, he was the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Whitley. He was a graduate of Osage High School and Grinnell College. He lived in Clinton until the death of his wife and then in Kingsport.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. H. R. Childs, Kingsport; a son, Robert, California; three grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Ralph Whitley and a sister, Miss Clara Whitley, both of Osage

Roy Summer Whitley was born December 27, 1876 in Osage, Iowa, the son of Dr. John L Whitney and Ada (Chase) Whitley. He married Helen Leach.
Burial was in the Springdale Cemetery, Clinton, Clinton, Iowa
