MRS. F. FIDDICK RITES SATURDAY …SERVICES TO BE HELD AT CHAMPION PARLORS
Osage – Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Champion Funeral Home for Mrs. Richard A. Fiddick, 65, who died Tuesday afternoon at her home in Osage.
Services will be in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly, Congregational pastor. Mrs. Fiddick had been ill for some time, suffering with uremic poisoning. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.
She was born Elsie Willson, daughter of John R. and Anna Richardson Willson, September 14, 1878, near Eyota, Minn. At the age of 16 she came to Osage with her parents. She was graduated from the Osage high school and attended the Cedar Valley seminary. Following her graduation, she was employed in the Fiddick dry goods store.
On September 19, 1912, she married R. A. Fiddick, an employee in the Home Trust and Savings Bank, now assistant cashier. To them was born 1 daughter, Anne, wife of Capt. Martin Schaeferle, now located at DeRidder, La.
Mrs. Fiddick spent all her life in Osage with the exception of her first 16 years. She was an Eastern Star member, loyal member of the Baptist Womens Guild, ardent church worker, and belonged to several clubs.
Survivors include her husband, daughter, Mrs. Martin Schaeferle, Jr.; sister, Mrs. Charles Gaffney, and grandson, Martin Schaeferle, III.

#3:MRS. R.A. FIDDICK DIES,
ILL FOR SEVERAL YEARSMrs. R. A. fiddick, 65, died at her home Tuesday afternoon at 4;30 o'clock after a lingering illness. Her health began to fail about 30 years ago and she has not been entirely well in all of that time. About two years ago she became worse and in June 1942, she had a major operation, from which she never fully recovered.
Elsie Willson was born at Eyota, Minnesota, on September 14, 1878. She was the daughter of J.R. and Anna Richardson-Willson.
When she was about 16 years of age she moved to Osage with her parents and this has since been her home. She attended the country school at Eyota; the public school of Osage, and the Cedar Valley Seminary, from which she was graduated, completing the business course.
She was employed as a sales woman in various stores for a number of years, prior to her marriage to Richard A. Fiddick, on September 19, 1912.
One child was born to Mr. and Mrs. Fiddick; a daughter, Anne, who is now Mrs. Martin Schaeferle Jr.'
Mrs. Fiddick joined the Osage Baptist church on February 3, 1896, and as long as her health permitted, was very active in all of the affairs of the church.
She was also a member of Bethany chapter, O.E.S. and held offices in that organization over the years.
She was of an unusually pleasant, kind disposition, and enjoyed her neighbors and friends. She was a member of various small social groups from which she derived much pleasure.
Surviving are her husband; their daughter, Mrs. Schaeferle; her grandson, Martin Schaeferle 3rd; and one sister, Mrs. Charles Gaffney, who is now the only survivor of the family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Champion Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Stiles Lessly, and burial will be made in the Osage cemetery.
