Mrs. Will Bigelow Died Tuesday; Was Sick Many Months

Mrs. William Bigelow passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Pilgrim, in Osage Tuesday afternoon, March 2, after an illness of over seven months. Her death came as a shock to her many friends although the family has been aware for the past three weeks that her bodily powers were failing.

Dora E. Trowbridge, daughter of James and Charlotte Trowbridge, was born in Lincoln township, Mitchell County, Iowa on July 31, 1865. She grew to Young womanhood there and received her education in the county schools and Cedar Valley seminary.

She was married to William Bigelow on October 30, 1889. To this union were born four children-Mrs. Will Pilgrim, Osage; Mrs. Clarence Medinnus, Lyle; N.L. Bigelow, Albert Lea; and Mrs. F. Hennessey, Osage. There are sixteen grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Bigelow moved to Freeborn County, Minn., in 1893 and remained there until 1915 when they returned to this county and which has since been their home.

Mrs. Bigelow united with the Congregational church in young womanhood and was for many years a member of that church. Then she united with the Baptist church, the church of her husband years ago and had been a faithful member since.
She was of a friendly disposition and did her utmost in sympathy and assistance to others in their sickness and sorrows which earned for her a wide circle of friends. During the last few years she opened her home to care for the aged who were unable to care for themselves. Her patience, sympathy and skill in caring for the sick and the aged was appreciated by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at the Champion Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in charge of her pastor, the Rev John Kern and burial will be made in the Osage cemetery.
