Came to Iowa When Five Years of AgeOSAGE, IOWA -- Funeral services for Albert Christopher Witzel were conducted by Dr. S. E. Ellis, pastor of the Methodist Church, the the Sheledy Fineral Home Thursday. Interment was at Little Cedar.

Mr. Witzel was born in Sac county, Wisconsin, March 20, 1966, and died at his home in Osage on Monday [April 4, 1932].
He was the third son of Henry Christopher and Emma Witzel in a family of 12 children, of whom three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. At the age of five he came with his parents to Rockford, Iowa, and 13 years later to a farm five miles north of Osage.
He married Elizabeth Jane Nicholson of Little Cedar on Oct. 30, 1892. They later had some years' residence at Buffalo Center, Oklahoma City, Little Cedar, Charles City, and in the country near New Haven, coming to their present home in Osage in 1919. One son, Henry C. died in the Army at fort Riley during the influenza epidemic of 1918. Two sons survive, Oscar E. living near New Haven, and Arthur C. who, with his wife and little daughter, has shared the home of the parents for some time.
Mr. Witzel was a member of the Methodist Church, the Modern Woodmen, and the Odd Fellows Lodge. Beside his widow and two sons, he is survived by three brothers and three sisters: H. E. Witzel, Charles City; George and Robin, Oklahoma City; Mrs. M. Sheffel, Lyle, Minnestoa; Mrs. Paul Wendt and Mrs. M. E. Rey, Oklahoma City, and four grandchildren.
