MRS. WOODWARD OF OSAGE DIES
LEAVES 5 CHILDREN; RITES TO BE SUNDAYOsage – Mrs. B. S. Woodward, 90 years old, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bernice Lerch at Iowa Falls, after a year of poor health. Mrs. Woodward was taken to the home of her daughter on Sunday.
She was born January 15, 1852, at Emerald Grove, Wisconsin. She came to this community as a bride 69 years ago. Her husband preceded her in death in November of 1938.
She is survived by five children; one daughter, Mrs. Lerch, and four sons. They are Clell of Waterloo; Clair of Dickinson, N. Dakota; twins Melburn and Ross of Osage. She also leaves five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Champion funeral home with the Rev. Stiles Lessly in charge. He is the pastor of the Congregational church here.
