EDNA MARIE FENTON
OSAGE - Edna Marie Fenton, 78, of Osage, died Saturday (Oct. 30, 1999) at her home, of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Osage, with the Rev. Jerry Newland officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Champion Funeral Home, 702 State St., Osage, and one hour before services at the church.
Edna Marie Fenton, the daughter of Abner and Rosetta (Bennett) Flowers, was born Dec., 1920, in Jackson, Minn. She grew up in the Osage area and attended Osage schools.
She married Bill Fenton on Oct. 26, 1947, at First Baptist Church in Osage. She liked to show and ride horses. She was a member of the Cedar River Saddle Club, and loved trail rides. She enjoyed camping and was an avid doll collector. She knitted, made ceramics and egg shell jewelry and decoupage. Marie made beautiful teddy bears that her family and friends treasure. She taught Sunday school for many years at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill, of Osage; two sons, Jerry Lee Fenton and his son, Zeb, Tallahassee, Fla., Rickie Lynn Fenton of Sac City and his daughters, Niky Lynn, Laura Marie and Rachel Lee; three sisters, Margaret Smith, Beloit, Wis., Marian Johnson, Charles City, and Marilynn Reis and her husband, Marvin, Osage; two brothers, Robert Flowers and his wife, Adeline, South Beloit, Wis., Richard Flowers and his wife, Sagda, Omaha, Neb.; one great-grandson, Bryce Jordan Hook; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roger Flowers; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
