Cora Evelyn Christensen was born October 25, 1927 in Franklin County, Iowa and died July 26, 1994 at the age of 66.
Cora was the daughter of Andrew Iverson Christensen and Clara H. (Gardalen) Christensen.
She married James A. Shaw. He died in 2010 and is buried at St. Peter's Lutheran Cem., Riceville, Iowa.
Her father was born August 10, 1889 in Denmark and died June 1983 in Dows, Wright Co., Iowa.
Her mother was born August 8, 1894 and died April 1973 in Dows.

Funeral services for Cora E. Shaw, of Riceville, were held on Friday, July 29, 1994 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville, with Rev. Robert Pfeil officiating. Mrs. Shaw passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 1994 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage, Iowa.
Cora was born on October 25, 1927 in rural Dows, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Clara Gardalen Christensen. She was united in marriage to James Shaw on January 20, 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She was employed at the Riceville Community Rest Home for 22 years.
Survivors include her husband, James, Riceville; two sons, Dean Shaw, of Alexandria, Virginia and Dan Shaw, of Riceville, Iowa; three daughters: Mrs. Beverly Gardner, of Strawberry Point, Iowa; Mrs. Barbara Schnepper, Rosemount, Minnesota, and Mrs. Beth Gorton, of Brandon, Iowa; nine grandchildren; three brothers: Raymond Christensen, Iowa Falls, Iowa; Andrew Christensen, Jr. Chandler, Arizona; Laverne Christensen, Popejoy, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Alma McElvania, Popejoy, Iowa, and Mrs. Velma Fuller, Popejoy, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery in Riceville, Iowa, with the Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
