ELIZABETH VENTEICHER

OSAGE, IOWA - Elizabeth Venteicher, 83, died Friday (March 12, 1999) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Algona, with the Rev. Steve Broderson officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, with a prayer service at 4 p.m.

Elizabeth was born May 26, 1915, at Algona, the daughter of Emmet and Marie (Schmitt) Paetz. She attended St. Cecilia School. Elizabeth married L.A. Venteicher on Feb. 19, 1935, at Algona. They made their home in Algona, and then moved to Osage in 1939. In 1965, they moved to California. Her husband died Feb. 1, 1974. Elizabeth has been a resident of the Faith Home in Osage for the past five years.

She is survived by a daughter, Laurel Jean Marr and her husband, William, of Clear Lake; four grandchildren, Michael Marr and his wife, Lisa, of Los Gatos, Calif., Elizabeth Wilkinson and her husband, David, of Sandy, Utah, Charles Marr and his wife, Belen, of Whittier, Calif., and Katherine Marr of Opportunity Village, Clear Lake; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gladys Boleneus of Algona, and Doris Ferguson of Algona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, L.A. Venteicher in 1974.
