STACYVILLE, Iowa — Robert J. Duponcheele, 81, of Stacyville, Iowa, died on March 4, 1999 at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 8, 1999, at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church, St. Ansgar, Iowa, with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial will be in St. Ansgar Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar.

Robert was born on May 1, 1917, in Carpenter, Iowa, to Julius and Aldia (Eggermont) Duponcheele. He married Erma Duncan on June 20, 1950 in Stacyville, Iowa. They lived and farmed in the St. Ansgar and Stacyville area. Robert farmed all his life. He loved tractors and enjoyed playing cards and visiting with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Laura Vervaecke.

Robert is survived by his wife, Erma, of Stacyville, Iowa; one son, James of Stacyville; four daughters, Jean and her husband, Charles Jones, of Austin, Minn.; Judy and her husband, Curtis Krebsbach, of Adams, Minn.; Donna and her husband, Neil Hackbart, of Grafton, Iowa; Mary and her husband, Jeff Rosenberg, of Grafton; nine grandchildren, Joseph Bower, Raynae Bower, Melissa Krebsbach, Erin Krebsbach, Ashley Krebsbach, Jon Krebsbach, Amy Hackbart and her fiancee, Derrick Powers, Mindy Rosenberg and Ryan Rosenberg; two stepgrandchildren, Michael and Kevin Jones; two great-grandchildren, Robin and Jadye; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Alyssa, Connor and Madison; one sister, Julia and her husband, George Lambaere, of St. Ansgar; and many nieces and nephews.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, of St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements.
