Alexander Moody's Death Occurred
at Long Beach, Cal.
Burial is to be in Iowa

Osage, Iowa — Alexander Moody, an early resident of Osage, who died at Long Beach, Cal., Saturday, will be buried here. The body is being brought to Osage by a son, Garfleld.

Mr. Moody was born at Belfast, Ireland, on January 16, 1842, and came to the United States in 1859, at the age of 17 years. The family settled at Rochester, Minnesota, where he married Catherine Allen on March 9, 1866. They moved in 1869 to a farm near St. Ansgar, now known as the Charles Bartell place, and about 18 years ago went to Long Beach.

Of seven brothers and sisters, one sister, a resident of Ireland, survives him. Besides the sister, his widow and the son named, there survive, two other sons and three daughters, Ed J. Moody, Sioux City; William Moody, Independence: Mrs. B. W. Todhunter, Los Angeles, Cal.: Mrs. C. W. North, Rochester, and Mrs. S. A. Parker, Osage. There are also ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
