May 24, 1965Funeral services for Mrs. Chris Scharper, 66, of Osage were held Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Osage. The Rev. Obert Hoven, church pastor, was in charge of the services. Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons, and burial was at Oak Grove cemetery in Mitchell. Mrs Scharper died at a Mason City Nursing home May 18.
Flossie May Moore was born Dec. 17, 1898, near Northwood, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Moore. She was married to Chris Scharper in Cumberland, Wis., Feb. 21, 1917. They established their home in Cumberland, and a year later moving to Mitchell to remain for 25 years. They later lived in Claremont and Green, moving to Osage in 1951.
Survivors include her husband, Chris; two sons, Robert and William of Osage; two daughters, Mrs Ruth Anderson of Omaha; Mrs. Donald Fletcher, Evelyn, of Lincoln, Neb. She also leaves 13 grandchildren two brothers, Vern Moore of Cedar Falls; and Ralph Moore of St. Paul.
