Funeral services were held Thursday, June 16, 1988 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Riceville, for Devan Vulk, 1, of Riceville. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville. Devan died Tuesday, June 14, 1988 at Mercy Hospital in Mason City of natural causes.

He was born July 18, 1986 in Cresco and was baptized July 19, 1986. He spent most of his life in the hospital.

Survivors include his mother, Theone Vulk of Riceville; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Sobolok of Riceville; maternal grandfather, Gregory Vulk of Riceville; and two uncles, Jason and Ryan Vulk of Riceville.
