Walter Wallace Penney was born March 19, 1882, son of Albert and Etta (Parlin) Penney of Stacyville. On September 9, 1908 he married Pearl Grace Ball, daughter of James and Una Ball, at Osage.

Soon after they were married they left for Hugo, Oregon, were they operated fruit orchards and retired to Grants Pass, Oregon.

Mr. Penny died there January 5, 1961 and Mrs. Penney on March 12, 1981

They had no children but showered their love and attention on nieces, nephews and friends.
