Retired Farmer Dies; Rites at Stacyville
Stacyville, Iowa – Funeral services were held Thursday at the American Legion hall in Stacyville for George Faas, 80, who died at his home Tuesday after four years illness.
He spent his young manhood on a farm near Stacyville and was married to Mina Penny. To this union four children were born, two daughters and two sons.
He farmed near Stacyville for several years, retired about 20 years ago and purchased a home in Stacyville.
His wife, children and two grandchildren survive.

George Faas (#2) was the son of Benedict Faas 1823- 1894 and Kunigunda Schuster Faas 1828-1912. He married Ermina Blanche Penney 1873-1941, the daughter of William Penney and Hannah (Halsey) PenneyBenedict Faas and Kunigunda Schuster had two sons named George; the first George Faas (#1) was born October 1857 and died November 1933. He married Susan Adams.
