OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral services are to be Friday at 2:30 at the Union Presbyterian Church , near Stacyville for Margaret Elizabeth Gerhart, who died at the Falk nursing home in Stacyville on Tuesday, August 2, 1949. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Born May 5, 1872, on a farm in Union Township, Mitchell County, the daughter of John and Margaret (Small) Gerhart. She never married but remained with her parents and assisted in the care of her invalid father. Following her parents' death she made a home for her brother, Adam Gerhart, who survives.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie and Laura, and by three brothers, Fred, John and George.
She had been in failing health for a number of years, and had been cared for at the Falk Nursing Home in Stacyville until about a week ago, when she submitted to surgery at Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Death occurred the day after she was removed to Stacyville from the hospital.

#2:Maggie Gerhart was born on May 5, 1872 on a farm in Union township in Mitchell county, Iowa, to John and Margaret Small-Gerhart. She never married, but stayed with her parents and assisted with the care of her invalid father. After her parents death she made a home for her brother, Adam Gerhart.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Fred, John and George Gerhart, and by two sisters, Annie and Laura. She is survived by a brother, Adam, a niece, Mrs. Harry Dankart of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and three nephews, Grant and Harold Gerhart of Stacyville and Ren Anderson of Osage.
