WILLIAM DUNCOMB DIES IN HOME AT LEROY

Funeral services were held at the LeRoy First Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon, March 9 for William Henry Duncomb, 78 of LeRoy, who died in his home Friday, March 5, 1965.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Paul Wiener and burial was in the Riceville Riverside cemetery.

Mr. Duncomb was born at New Hampton, July 29, 1886. He lived in New Hampton for 16 years and then moved with his family to Riceville. He homesteaded in South Dakota, near Viewfield, in 1907.
Mr. Duncomb was married to Myrtle Lindfield June 23, 1909. Mr. and Mrs. Duncomb moved back to the farm in Chickasaw county in 1916 and near Chester in 1924. They lived there for 24 years. They also farmed near Cresco and in Missouri until strokes disabled him. The last several years, Mr. and Mrs. Duncomb lived in LeRoy.

Mr. and Mrs. Duncomb became the parents of nine children, seven of whom survive. Mr. Duncomb was a member of the Methodist church in Wheaton, Missouri.

Surviving Mr. Duncomb are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Everett (Inez) Norman of Austin; Mrs. Glen (Genevieve) Fairchild of Chester; Mrs. George (Jessie) Swain of Austin; Mrs. Elnar (Luella) Unseth of Woodland, Michigan; and Mrs. Howard (Lucille) Ness of Barron Wisconsin; and two sons; William H. Duncomb of Portland, Oregon, and Glenn Duncomb of Edgerton, Wisconsin.

There are also four brothers Ralph of Saint Ansgar, George of Denver, Colorado, Paul of Tripoli, and Bert of Riceville.
Preceding Mr. Duncomb in death were two daughters four sisters, two brothers and his parents.
