Orchard - Mrs. Addie Bell Jenkins 81, died Tuesday at home near Orchard. She was born March 4, 1867 to Thompson and Mary (Suson) Stewart in Benton County, Missouri. She married October 10, 1892 to William Henry Jenkins at Warsaw, Mo. They established their first home at Peola, Kansas. They returned to Benton County in 1896 and in 1921 came to Mitchell County, Iowa where they had since lived.

She leaves husband, eight children; Booker T. Jenkins, Osage; Mrs. Nellie Matthews, Urbana, Mo.; Mrs. Roy Squire, Orchard; Mrs. Ethel Retterath, Stacyville; Clayton, Austin, Minn.; Mrs. Frank Cooper, Little Cedar; Rebecca, at home, and Henry, Austin, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Jones, Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Nettie Peale, Grain Valley, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. William Jenkins will be held sometime **

Funeral services for Mrs. William Jenkins will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. C. James officiating. Burial will be made in the Brownsville cemetery. Mrs. Jenkins died Tuesday morning at her home near Orchard.

Addie Bell Stewart was born in Benton county, Missouri, on March 4, 1867, to Thompson and Mary Susan Stewart. She was married on October 10, 1892, in Warsaw, Missouri, to William Henry Jenkins. They established their home in Peola, Kansas, for four years and then moved back to Benton county, Missouri. In 1921 they moved to Iowa where they engaged in farming in Mitchell county.

Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the Methodist church, joining the church with her husband, three daughters, and a son, nearly 40 years ago.

Surviving are her husband; eight children: Booker T. Jenkins, Mrs. Roy (Maude) Squier and Mrs. Ida Cooper of Osage, Nellie Matthews of Urbana, Missouri, Mrs. Ethyl Retterath of Stacyville, Clayton and Henry of Austin, and Rebecca at home; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Jones of Minneapolis and Mrs. Nettie Peale of Grand Valley, Missouri.
