Osage---Gertrude Davis Angell, 76, died Tuesday. She was born September 9, 1870, second child of Mr. and Mrs. Carolus Davis, who were among the pioneer residents of Burr Oak township.
In February 1888, she was married to Warren Angell. Mr. Angell died in 1938 and following his death Mrs. Angell and her sister, Mrs. Laura Lucas, made their home in Osage.
For many years she took an active part in the church and community life in Burr Oak. After laving the farm home she became a member of the Osage Methodist church and was also a member of the Womans Christian Temperance Union, and the Flora Mae Tuttle Naturalist Club.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. William Harmon, one grandson, two brothers, Elmer Davis, Rice Lake, Wis.; Lloyd Davis, Sunnyvale, Cal, and one sister Mrs. Laura Lucas. Two brothers, Harry and Loren preceded her in death. Funeral was here Thursday.
