OBITUARY: Alice Sponheim, 1896-1997
OSAGE, IOWA-- Alice Sponheim, 100, of Osage, died Wednesday, October 8, 1997, at the Faith Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be held at on Saturday at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, with the Rev. Roger Hoppenworth officiating. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Alice Sponheim was born on December 8, 1896, on the family farm in West Cedar Township, Mitchell County.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Melson, New Orleans, La.; one son, Norman Sponheim, Nora Springs; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and nine brothers and sisters.
The Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.
