OSAGE, IOWA - Tentative funeral plans for Sig Harlis have been made for Thursday afternoon at the Champion funeral home, with burial in the Orchard cemetery.

Plans are pending word from his only son, Sgt. Ronald Harlis, located at Hafstade, Belgium. The family has endeavored for several weeks to contact him, to no avail.

Mr. Harlis, ill for some time, had been hospitalized at Mason City for nearly a month.

He was born January 4, 1878, in Sweden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Magnus Harlis. He came to America with his parents at the age of 9, coming to Osage. Here he lived until the age of 25, when he, with his wife, the former Pearl Reynolds of Clear Lake, moved to Orchard. His wife died in 1928 and Mr. Harlis later married Mrs. Millie Priebe, of Waverly, who also preceded him in death.

He also leaves one brother, John, Charles City, and four sisters, Mrs. Albert Behrns, Crookston, Minn.; Mrs. Wilford Mirin and Selma, Minneapolis, and Evelyn, Osage.
