Osage---L. M. Dykeman, 81, died Thursday morning at Cedar Valley hospital in Charles City following a sudden stroke Wednesday night. He had been in excellent health. He was born and reared on he home place eight miles south of Osage. He married Bertha Dorow of Osage in January 1897. She preceded him in death in 1945.

Three children survive; Elsie, Chicago; Donald, Englewood avenue, Waterloo; Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Route 6, Waterloo; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother Plynn, Floyd; a daughter, Daisy and brothers and sisters preceded him I death.
