ST. ANSGAR, IOWA -- Lois Ruby Beyer, 70, died on Friday, January 3, 1997, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home.

Lois was born on October 3, 1926 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, [the daughter of Walter August and Helena Amelia Diedrich Wilde.]
[She married Albert Robert Beyer.]

Survivors include one daughter, Jane Sherrard of Grafton; two sons, Ronnie Beyer of Harvey, N.D., and Larry Beyer of St. Ansgar; one sister, Elaine Pike of St. Ansgar; nine grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.

Lois Ruby Wilde Beyer

Lois Ruby Wilde Beyer died Friday, January 3, 1997 at her home near St. Ansgar, Iowa. Suneral services were held Tuesday, January 7, 1997 at the First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar. Reverend Robert Porisch officiated. Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa. Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lois Ruby Wilde Beyer was born October 3, 1926 on the Wilde farm in Rock Township, Mitchell County, to Walter and Helena Diedrich Wilde. She was baptized in the Christian Faith at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rock Township on October 17, 1926 by Reverend J. Gemachlich and was confirmed on April 18, 1943 by Reverend F. C. Ide. Sponsors were Anna Hollatz, Alma Diedrich and Otto Walk. She attended rural school in Rock Township.

On August 28, 1945 she married Albert Beyer at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Charles City, Iowa. They made their home southwest of St. Ansgar.

She enjoyed the outdoors, working in the garden with her flowers. Lois was a member of the Martha Circle of the First Lutheran Church Women and held stewardship and secretary offices plus taught Sunday School for many years.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Albert; her parents; two brothers, Laver and Roland.

Survivors include her children, Ronnie and his wife, Roselyn of Harvey, North Dakota and children, Eric and his wife, Ingrid of Havre, Montana and Jessica and stepchildren, Beth, Ken, and Jeff; and Larry and wife, Irene of St. Ansgar and children Twyla and Husband, Bryon Meyerhofer of Orchard, Heather, Bridgette, Nathan and Courtney of St. Ansgar; Jane and her husband, Robert; and two sons, Robby and Ross of Grafton; three great-granddaughters, Ketla, Kaitlain and Taylor Meyerhofer and two step-great-grandchildren, Rose and Heather Benttine and one sister, Elaine Pike of St. Ansgar, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
