Committal Rites to Be Wednesday at Osage for Mrs. August Dahn
Osage, Iowa - Committal rites for Mrs. August Dahn, 90, who died Sunday at the State hospital in Independence, where she had been for one week, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Osage cemetery, the Rev. John D. Kern, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating.
As Mary Ann Elliott, she was born in Floyd county in 1852. She was first married to Will King. Two children were born to them; Mrs. Arthur Hoel and Mrs. Henry Haberkorn, both deceased.
In 1900, she was married to August Dahn. They lived on the home farm southeast of Osage until his death 20 years ago, when she moved to Waterloo to make her home with a daughter.
Surviving are three step-children, Mrs. Annette Kapka, New Haven; Mrs. J. F. Buckman, Charles City, and Frank Dahn, Washington, D.C.; 10 grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

OSAGE CEMETERYCommittal rites for Mrs. August Dahn, 90, who died Sunday at the state hospital at Independence, where she had been a patient just a week, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Osage cemetery. The Rev. John D. Kern officiated.
Mary Ann Elliot was born in Floyd county, Iowa, in 1852. She was first married to Will King, and two children were born to them, Mrs. Arthur Hoel and Mrs. Henry Haberkorn. All are deceased.
In 1900 she married August Dahn. They lived on a farm southeast of Osage until Mr. Dahn's death 20 yeawrs ago, when she moved to Waterloo to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Hoel.
