Kathleen Ann (Klemesrud) Kollman, age 76, of Osage, Iowa, died on Saturday, July 3, 2010, in the Alzheimer’s Unit at the Manly Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Manly, Worth county, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage with the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be at the Osage Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.
Kathleen was born on March 27, 1934, in Mitchell County, Iowa, to Kenneth and Nora (Maakestad) Klemesrud. She graduated from Osage High School in 1952. Kathleen worked briefly as a telephone operator in Osage. She married LaVern Kollman on March 20, 1954. Kathleen enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and being with her family. After LaVern retired, they traveled around the United States and to Australia and New Zealand.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, LaVern Kollman of Osage; daughter, Diane (David) Jennings of Osage; two grandsons, Ethan Jennings of Waterloo, and Eric Jennings of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and one great-grandson, Isaiah Jennings of Waterloo. She is also survived by two brothers, Gary (Linda) Klemesrud of Iowa Falls, and Richard (Terry) Klemesrud of North Champlin, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her two sisters, Marlys Klemesrud, and Elizabeth (Klemesrud) Wold Deninger.
