Edward Cordes

Osage---Edward Cordes, 75 died Thursday following major surgery at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Champion Funeral Home.
A lifelong resident of this area, he was married to Mrs. Karen Richsmann Knox in April 1935. She died in 1957.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Sharon Rae) Ackroyd, Minneapolis; two stepsons, Kenneth Knox, Minneapolis; Stanley Knox, St. Cloud; and 23 grandchildren.

note: Edward Henry Cordes was born October 19, 1888 Mitchell, Iowa; died December 19, 1963 Osage. He was the son of Henry Cordes and Mary (Horak) Cordes.
Edward married Karen (nee Richsmann) Knox, the widow of Robert Floyd Knox.
Karen Rosetta (nee Richsmann) Knox, Cordes was the daughter of George Richsmann and Marie (Peterson) Richsmann.
