AGED WOODMAN KILLED BY TRUCK
JOHN GOODER, 83, STRUCK WHEN CARS PASS ON ROAD NEAR OSAGE
Osage, July 31---John Gooder, 83, was almost instantly killed yesterday afternoon when he was struck by a truck on the hill near Pierce's bridge.

He had been cutting wood in the woods and was walking up the road to a farm house to get a drink when two trucks passed each other. He was confused and dodged out of the center of the road in front of the truck driven by a Mr. Diederich, who was not held responsible for the accident.
Surviving are four children; Mrs. Claude Stevens of Osage, Mrs. Frank Dellage of 402 Leland avenue, Waerloo; Elmer Gooder of Plentywood, Mont., and Clayton Gooder of Minneapolis.
