DAN HUMMEL, 57, DIES AT OSAGE; RITES WEDNESDAY

Osage--Dan Hummel, 57, superintendent of buildings and grounds for the Osage Community School died of a heart attack Sunday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with the Revs. Obert Hoven and R. M. Christensen officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home is in charge.

Born at Northwood, October 13, 1904, he was the son of William Edward and Emma Hummel. He was married to Mildred Haugen, November 18,, 1937, and had lived here since.

Surviving are his wife, two brothers, Lester, Pinole, Calif.; DeWitt, Mason City; a sister, Mrs. Roy (Althea) Kenison, Kensett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two children in infancy.
