Mrs. Josephine Barzl
Died Friday Night

Mrs. Josephine Barzl, wife of Amil Barzl, passed away at her home north of Mitchell last Friday night, from hear disease and complications. She had been ill for the past three months.

Mrs. Barzl was born seventy-one years ago in Bohemia. As a young girl she came to America, making her home for a time in New York City. There she met one of her countrymen, Amil Barzl, and was married to him. They moved first to Minnesota, later coming to Mitchell County, Iowa, and buying the farm upon which they have since lived.

They were parents of two children, a son who died in infancy, and Rudolph Barzl, who now operates the home place, and with whom his mother has lived. The father passed away in 1920.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at St. Ansgar, in charge of the Reverend Moore, with burial in the cemetery there.
