OSAGE — Billie Rogers, 58, died Saturday (Aug. 1, 1998) at her home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Philip Recker officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Champion Funeral Home, with a rosary at 3 p.m., and a scripture wake service at 7:30 p.m.
Billie was born June 22, 1940, at Simms, Texas, the daughter of Willie and Gladys (Tidwell) May. She graduated from high school in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Billie married Gerald Rogers on June 6, 1959, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fort Smith. The couple made their home in the St. Ansgar area for three years before moving to a farm southwest of Osage, where they lived until moving into Osage in 1989.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Rogers of Osage; two daughters, Deb Angell and her husband, Kent, of Osage, and Dena Ketelsen and her husband, Kent, of Osage; eight grandchildren, Jason, Nathan, Joclyn and Ryan Ketelsen, Melissa, Travis, Katie and Jordan Angell; and one sister, Kathryn Fine of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant son.
