Irvin Cockrum dies suddenly in California
OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral services will be held here Saturday at 2 p.m. for Irvin Cockrum, 54, Reseda, California. He died suddenly Friday while at work for North American Airlines, Los Angeles.
Born at Clinton, Missouri, the son of David and Maude Cockrum, he lived near Osage as a child. He was married to Minnie Green at Orchard. He owned and operated a shoe repair shop in Charles City until moving to California.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Jean) Cross, California; Mrs. Kenneth (Marlene) Clark, Great Falls, Montana; five grandchildren, four brothers, Dave, San Diego; Ole. Austin, Minnesota; Herbert, Little Cedar; Vernon, Osage; two sisters, Mrs. John Pint, Mitchell, and Mrs. Edith Noble, Osage.
A daughter preceded him in death.
