Funeral Held At
Osage Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Semina Jacobson, 80, who died at the Osage Nursing Home Saturday, March 13, were held Tuesday, March 16 at the First Congregational church in Osage with the Rev. Norman F. Brooks officiating.

Semina Pederson, the daughter of Jens and Marie Pederson, was born December 14, 1885, in Hjerting, Denmark. She came to the United States July 28,1904.

On July 6, 1960* she was married to Jacob Jacobson at Forest City, where they made their home for two years. Most of her married life was spent in or near Osage. She worked and lived for a number of years at the Cleveland Hotel of Osage. About four years ago, due to declining health, she went to live with her daughter, Viola, Mrs. Oliver Cummings, of St. Ansgar. Her death occured at the Osage Nursing home, where she had been a resident for several weeks.

She was baptised and confirmed in the Guldager Church in Denmark. She became a member of the First Congregational Church of Osage April 20, 1924.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died July 21, 1932; by five children, Florence, Clair and Clarence, twins; and Kenneth; by two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Viola Cummings of St. Ansgar, Iowa, five grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; three sisters in Denmark, and by nieces and nephews in Denmark.

Burial was in the Osage cemetery with Rev. Brooks in charge of the committal services.
