DEATH VISITS NEW HAVEN HOME TWICE
NEW HAVEN, IOWA - Death visited the Maurice Condon home twice within five hours Sunday.
His mother, Mrs. Margaret Condon, 76, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Burke, in Waterloo; and Mrs. Maurice Condon's mother, Mrs. Mary Kleckner, 79, died at 5 p.m. Sunday in the hospital at Osage, from a heart ailment.
Mrs. Kleckner was born Mary Gilles, daughter of Nicholas and Mary Gilles, on March 12, 1868 in Wisconsin. As a girl she came with her parents to a farm near New Haven.
Mary Gilles was married to Matt Kleckner in February 1886. Their first home was at Fargo, North Dakota. They moved to a farm near New Haven in 1891; and Mr. Kleckner died there in 1919.
Mrs. Kleckner retired to New Haven, where she had lived since.
Surviving are two sons, William, Minneapolis, and Ernest, St. Ansgar; six daughters: Mrs. Peter Michels, Osage, Mrs. John Webber, Nora Springs, Mrs. Peter Brandt, Mrs. Vincent Dunlay and Mrs. Maurice Condon, all of New Haven, Mrs. LaVerne Robbins, Oak Park, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. John Junk, Odgen, Utah; three brothers: Will and Peter, New Haven, and Joe, Shawnee, Oklahoma; 37 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
One son, Alfred, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at Sacred Heart church at Osage. Burial will be at New Haven.
