Marjorie A. (Halvorson) Springer, 1940-1998

OSAGE, IOWA -- Marjorie A. Springer, 57, of Osage, died on Tuesday, April 7, 1998, at home.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 13, at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Joseph Schneider of St. Ansgar Catholic Church officiating.

There will be no visitation. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.

Marjorie A. Springer was born September 13, 1940, in Osage.

Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Springer, of Osage; her mother, Mary Halvorson, St. Ansgar; two sisters, Elizabeth Halvorson, of Columbia, Missouri, and Marsha Ehlers, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and one brother, Marshall Halvorson, of Austin, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her father.

for Marjorie
Springer April 13

Memorial services for Marjorie A. Springer, 57, of Osage, who died April 7, 1998, were held at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home here with Reverend Joseph Schneider officiating.

Marjorie A. Springer was born September 13, 1940 to Avery and Mary (Taets) Halvorson in Osage. She graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1958 and went on to La James School of Cosmetology at Mason City. Marjorie left St. Ansgar for southern California where she worked and retired after 30 years with Libby Owens Glass in 1995. She returned to the Osage area where she has lived since her retirement.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Springer of Osage, her mother, Mary Halvorson, St. Ansgar; brother Marshall Halvorson of Austin, Minnesota; two sisters, Elizabeth Evans of Columbia, Missouri and Marcia Ehlers of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
