The following year she was united in marriage to Halstein Iverson (Norby). They purchased a farm in that neighborhood where they lived eleven years. They came to Mitchell County in the summer of 1869 and purchased a half section of land in the Rock Creek settlement, eight miles southwest of Osage where she has lived ever since.

Her husband died in the fall of 1896. She died April 16, 1912, at the home of her eldest daughter, Mrs. Anton Lundene, with whom she had made her home a few weeks of her last illness.

The funeral services were held April 19th at the Rock Creek Lutheran church of which she was always a faithful member. She was laid to rest in the cemetery near the church beside her husband and three children who had gone before.
