Paul Charles Ruble 1917-2005

Paul Charles Ruble, 88, of Desert Hot Springs, died Oct. 4, 2005, in Desert Hot Springs.
He was born Jan. 5, 1917, to David and Mable Nelson Ruble in Coffeeville, Kan.

He married Esther Kathryn Baker on Feb. 17, 1973, in Napa.

A member of the Operating Engineers Union, he was a heavy-duty construction mechanic for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Esther K. Ruble of Desert Hot Springs; his daughter, Carol Carroll of Yakima, Wash.; his son, Robert Ruble of Auburn, Wash.; two stepdaughters, Patricia Moore of Albuquerque, N.M. and Marjorie Cabral of Napa; two stepsons, Ronald Schulz and Terry Schulz of Osage, Iowa; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be private with inurnment at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima, Wash.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Mortuary of Desert Hot Springs.

Paul Ruble was the second husband of Esther Kathryn (Baker) Schulz. (see her obit posted to Mitchell obits on September 25, 2006). Her first husband was Harold Chester Schulz who passed away in 1970.

The family of Paul Ruble announces his passing on October 4, 2005, in Desert Hot Springs, California.

Paul Charles Ruble was born January 5, 1917 in Copyville, Kansas.

Paul married Esther Kathryn Schulz on February 17, 1973. After retirement they moved to Desert Hot Springs, California and summered in Osage, Iowa.

He was a heavy-duty mechanic for 50 years in Napa, California.

Burial will be in Yakima, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leona.

Paul is survived by his wife Esther Ruble, two children Carol Carroll and Bob Ruble, four step-children, Marjorie Cabral, Patricia Moore, Ronald Schulz and Terry Schulz, 24 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
