Daughter of John Bertram Kuechenberg and Mary Kathryn (Meyer) Kuechenberg
She married Herman Nicholas Gilles[Mason City Globe Gazette, April 13, 1963]

Stacyville: Mrs. Anna Gilles, 74, died Thursday at a Washington, D. C. hospital. A former resident of Stacyville, she had lived in Baltimore, Maryland the last three years. She suffered a stroke March 27.Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Visitaton Catholic Church here. The rosary will be said Monday at 8 p.m. in Hatten Funeral Home. Burial will be in the local cemetery.
Surviving are three sons, Bert, Gary, Indiana; Joseph, Florida, Anton, Baltimore; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Florence) Denlinger, Baltimore; a brother John Kuechenberg, Malibar, Florida; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Goebel, New Hampton; Mrs. Henry (Marie) Stephani Green Bay, Wisconsin; Mrs. Edward (Hattie) Schulze, and Mrs. Pauline Mayer, Stacyville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman, two sons, Clement and Edward, and a brother Tillman.
Note: she is the granddaughter of John Joseph Meyer for whom the town of Meyer was named.
