FUNERAL FOR SWANN, 87, FORMER MASON CITY RESIDENT, HELD

OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral services were held here Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Champion funeral home in charge of the Rev. Jhn D. Kern of the Osage Baptist church for Henry A. Swann, 87, who died at a hospital in Mason City Sunday. He had been ill from complications.

Henry Swann was born near Beaver Dam, Wis., December 12, 1849. He and his family came here from Minnesota in 1893 and he lived here until 1927 when his wife died and he went to Mason City to make his home with his daughters, Priscilla and Eunice Swann. Two daughters preceded him in death, Edith and Gladys.

Besides his two daughters in Mason City he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. H. E. Walker of Duluth, Minn., and a son Edward H Swann of Osage; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his brothers, Alfred Swann and Edward E Swann of Osage; Albert Swann of Sauk Center, Minn., his sisters Mrs. Francis Lewis of Caledonia, Minn., and Mrs. Anna Fessenmeyer of Des Moines. Burial will be in the local cemetery beside his wife.
