Funeral services are tentatively set for Saturday, October 27, 2001 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, for Barbara Grinstead, age 65, of Osage. She died Monday, October 22, 2001 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Hospice Unit in Osage. Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, in charge of arrangments.

Barbara Witzel Grinstead
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 27, 2001 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, for Barbara Ann Grinstead, age 65, of Osage. Rev. Dennis Hanson and Rev. Roy Ott officiated. Cremation took place following the service with inurnment in the Little Cedar Cemetery at a later date. She passed away Monday, October 22, 2001 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Hospice Unit, Osage.
Barbara was born Feb. 11, 1936 in Osage the daughter of Arthur and Ester (O'Brian) Witzel. She was united in marriage to James A. Grinstead on August 25, 1953 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, where they renewed their vows annually for the next 48 years. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Osage where she owned and operated the Grinstead Locker with her husband and son, Brian, until 1994.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Frances; and a son-in-law, Dale Heimer.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James of Osage; a daughter, Sydney Heimer of Osage; sons Brian Grinstead and wife, Deb of Osage and Bradley Grinstead and wife, Connie of Oklahoma, OK; six grandchildren, Jason Heimer and wife, Bridget, Laura Potter and her husband, Arnie, Katie Grinstead and Michael Grinstead, Taylor Grinstead and Brandy Grinstead; two sisters, Donna Cashen of Chariton, Iowa and Margaret Clemmens and her husband, Evan of West Branch, Iowa.

Barbara Ann Grinstead
On November 23, 2001 at the Little Cedar Cemetery at Little Cedar, Iowa with Pastor Dennis Hanson officiating, the cremains of Barbara Ann Grinstead were lowered to their final resting by her sons cradled in one of her many beautiful afghans she crocheted. Only her immediate family was present.
Barbara is now free of all pain and suffering as she sleeps in the Lord's arms.
