Kathie Jo (Seter) Berge, age 43, formerly of Osage, died on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage, with Rev. R. Dawson Tornes officiating. Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8:00 p.m., on Friday, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, and will continue one hour before the services at the church.

Kathie was born on February 10, 1964 in Osage, the daughter of Clifford and Karren (Jacobs) Seter, Jr. Kathie attended school in Osage and graduated from the Osage High School and was named Miss Osage. She also graduated from NIACC.

Kathie was united in marriage to Perry Berge in September 1987, at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church. They later divorced. She worked in the area until the early 1990's, when she became ill. Kathie had lived in Charles City for the last 10 years.

Kathie is survived by her son, Steve Berge of Osage; parents, Clifford (Carol) Seter, Jr. of Orchard; a brother, John Seter of Orchard and his children, Kassie and Jacob; a half-brother, Patrick (Jana) Trainer of Mandola, Illinois; 4 half-sisters, Connie (Larry) Rusmussen of Cedar Falls, Wendy (Jack) Rash of Raymond, Rebecca Trainer of Charles City and Mitzi Trainer of Mason City; 2 aunts, Mildred (Francis) Jennings of Orchard and Alice Zweck of Mason City; 1 uncle, James (Susie) Jacobs of Nashua; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Berge in 1999; her mother, Karren in 1977; paternal grandparents, Clifford C. and Clara Seter, Sr.; maternal grandparents, John and Evelyn Jacobs; and three aunts, Sandy Ames, Grace Janson and Marcella Larsen.

The Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
