ELKADER - Larry Cowell, 55, died Friday in Central Community Hospital after a long illness. Arrangements are pending at Leonard-Witt Funeral Home.

According to his dad's obituary Larry lived at Elkader.His parents were Vern M. and Pernnie Ethel (Jones) Cowell.
Larry graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1955.

ST. ANSGAR — A/3c Larry Cowell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Cowell of St. Ansgar, has been spending a two week leave with his parents. He will leave for K. I. Sawyer AFB, Marquette, Mich. He recently completed a weather observation course at Chanute AFB, Illinois.

#4:TO GO OVERSEAS — A 2C. Larry Cowell, St. Ansgar, who has been stationed at Presque Isle, Maine for the past six months and previous to that at Marquette, Michigan, is spending a leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Verne Cowell.
He will depart shortly for Charleston, S.C., and will embark from there for overseas duty in North America.
