Vern Elwood, 1913-1996

OSAGE, IOWA--Vern Elwood,82, of Osage, died Monday, November 4, 1996, at the Faith Home in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Champion Funeral Home, with the Rev. Hershel Hawf and. Gary Gilbert officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Riceville.

Vern Elwood was born Dec. 8, 1913, near Lime Springs.

Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Woelke of Colona, Illinois; one son, Fred Elwood of Riceville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother.
