Mrs. Alice Gunderson. Mother of Doctor Dies. Mrs. Alice Loretta Gunderson, mother of Dr. Robert Gunderson, local orthopedic surgeon, died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital, where she had been a patient for three months. She had resided with Dr. and Mrs. Gunderson at Conyngham.

Born in Iowa, the deceased was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Anne (Barry) Meis. A resident of Anita, N.D., most of her life, she had lived with her son and his family the past two years. She was a member of St. John Bosco Church, Conyngham. Her husband, Melvin A., preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Melvin, Minneapolis, Minn., and Dr. Gunderson, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday at Anita, N.D., with requiem high mass in the Sacred Heart Church at 11 am. Burial will be in the Silent Hill Cemetery, Anita.
