OSAGE,IOWA - Warren Miller Dale, 89, of Osage passed away Tuesday (April 6, 2010).

He was born July 22, 1920, in Bassett, Nebraska, to Charles and Jean Dale.

Warren attended school in Martin, South Dakota, and Norfolk, Neb. At age 19 he moved to Gregory, South Dakota, to work with his father in the livestock trucking business, which he continued until retirement.

Warren married Ruth Ralston on December 25, 1941. He joined the Navy and served in World War II. He was a member of the Gregory American Legion and VFW for over 60 years.

Warren was a member of the Congregational and Berean Churches in Gregory, South Dakota.

Warren is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughters, Donneen (Mike) McKay, Jean Anne Goodmann and Georgia (Gary) Knudsen; son, Wesley (Jan) Dale; eight grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Glenda Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Dale and Jean Goldsworthy; stepfather, Glenn Goldsworthy; sisters, Desolee Owens and Marion Upton.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday April 10, at the home of Georgia and Gary Knudsen, 926 State St., Osage, Iowa.
