Ingeri O. Kirkeboen was born at Hemsedal, Norway, December 26, 1835. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed by the Rev. Kjeruld of Hemsedal Church.

She emigrated to America and came to Mitchell county in the spring of 1857. In the fall of the same year she married Tollef O. Grove, who had settled in Mitchell county in 1853. This union was blessed with nine children of whom three are living. The family lived on a farm 4 1/2 miles north of St. Ansgar where, in 1905, her husband passed away. From 1920, she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. G.O. Brenna at St. Ansgar.

Mrs. Grove was an active member of the First Lutheran Church.

Having performed her great motherly duties in this world, she passed away in the morning of May 23, 1929 for which she had so often prayed and in the name of Jesus to be received by her God in the great beyond, at the age of 93 years, 4 months and 27 days.

She is survived by her three children: Carl T. of Great Falls, Montana, Mrs. Gurine Brenna of St. Ansgar, Iowa, and Mrs. Annie Brenna of Austin, Minn., also six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Of the latter one is in Los Angeles, Calif., two are in Austin, Minn., and one in Charles City, Iowa.

The funeral services were held at 1:30 at the G.O. Brenna residence and two o'clock at the First Lutheran Church May 27th. She was laid to rest in the family lot in the Evergreen cemetery. The Rev. Olaf A. Langehough officiated.

Present from away to attend the funeral were Carl T. Grove of Great Falls, Mont., L.O. Larson of Emmons, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Johnson of Osage, Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Anderson of Austin, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. O.H. Johnson of Charles City, Oscar Brenna of Charles City, P.O.
