OBITUARY: Hamlin H. Miles was born at Peru, N.Y., January 22, 1841. At the age of fourteen the family moved to Wisconsin where he was married March 28, 1865, to Mary L. Vaughn. To this union were born three children all of whom are living: Marlo L. and Joel E. of Ottertail, Minnesota, and Minnie, now Mrs. Seaton of Pierre, South Dakota.

In 1872 they removed to Mitchell County, Iowa settling on a farm four miles northeast of St. Ansgar which continued to be their home until September 1915 when, with their sons, they moved to Ottertail, Minnesota. Here Mr. Miles passed away February 19, 1916.

A short service was held at the home at Ottertail before leaving. They arrived here Wednesday and the funeral was held at the Methodist Church at 10 o'clock, conducted by Reverend Wm. Galbreth.

Interment was made at the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
