Edna L. Beuerman, 88

Edna L. Jensen Beuerman, 88, formerly of West Lafayette, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, in Rochester, Minnesota.

She was born on August 18, 1918, to the late Marius and Cecelia Jensen in St. Ansgar, Iowa.

She was married for 56 years to Dr. Virgil A. Beuerman, who died in 1996**. They spent 23 years serving in the Navy. They settled in West Lafayette in 1963 and moved to Rochester in 1990.

She volunteered at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette for many years and attended Presbyterian churches in each city they resided in.

Surviving are her children, Roger and Raga of Singapore, Japan, and New Orleans, Richard Allen and Deborah of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Cindy of Argentina; her brothers, Art Jensen (wife: Evelyn) of St. Ansgar, Iowa, and Clarence Jensen (wife: Wylma) of Hibbing, Minnesota; and a sister, Helene Johnson of St. Ansgar.

Services were Wednesday in Minnesota with interment today in Iowa.

A loving, caring and giving, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, she is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and sisters-in-law, Ruth Jensen of Chatfield, MN and Della Jensen of St. Ansgar, Iowa.

Edna was predeceased by brothers Orlo, Harold, and Merle Jensen and sister Maurine Moore.
