MEYER FUNERAL TO BE THURSDAY

MARSHAL OF ST. ANSGAR IS SURVIVED BY WIFE, TWO STEPCHILDREN

St. Ansgar: Funeral services for Henry H. Meyer, 62, marshal here for four years, will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Shroeder and Houg funeral home.

Mr. Meyer died Sunday evening from spinal meningitis. He had been ill since Saturday. Services will be private because this was a contagious disease.

Mr. Meyer was born July 8, 1871, west of St. Ansgar. When he was 21, he went to McCook, Nebraska, for six years. On November 6, 1895, he was married to Elvian Walk, who died in 1917. In 1918, he was married to Mrs. Emma Kleinworth. He worked on farms.

Surviving are his wife, sister and two step-children.

HENRY MEYER DIES SUDDENLY - PRIVATE RITES TO BE HELD AT THE FUNERAL PARLORS ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON

After an illness of only 2 days, Henry Meyer, 62, town marshall for 5 years died at his home here in St. Ansgar, Iowa on Sunday afternoon. Private services will be conducted at the funeral parlors Thursday afternoon, Rev. M. W. McKinley in charge.

Mr. Meyer apparently had been in good health Friday but Saturday he was stricken seriously ill. The diseased was diagnosed as cerebro-spinal meningitis.

Henry H. Meyer was born July 8, 1871, on a farm west of town and here he grew to manhood. In 1892 he went with his parents to Mc Cook, Nebraska, where he lived six years and then returned to St. Ansgar, Iowa and has lived here since.

He was married to Mrs. Erma Kleinwort July 27, 1918. He is survived by his wife, one sister Mrs. Rudolph Helfritz, and two step children: Sherwin Kleinwort of St. Ansgar and Mrs. Laydon Wentworth of Detroit, Michigan.
