FRITCHER RITES HELD AT CHURCH

Veteran Mail Carrier at St. Ansgar
Dies at Storm Lake.

ST. ANSGAR, June 27 — Charles Fritcher, 65, died at the home of his son, Clifford Fritcher, at Storm Lake Saturday evening.

He leaves two sons, Lee of St. Ansgar and Clifford of Storm Lake, and one sister, Mrs. York Covey of Waterloo, also five grandchildren.

He was a rural mail carrier for 15 years and after retiring from regular work has worked as a substitute.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. O. A. Langehough officiating. Burial was in the town cemetery.

Charles Edward Fritcher, 64, lifetime resident of St. Ansgar, died at the home of his son, Clifford, in Storm Lake last Saturday. Funeral services were conducted at the First Lutheran church here Monday afternoon and Interment was made in the St. Ansgar cemetery.

Mr. Fritcher began to decline in health at the time of the death of his wife, February 4th. His condition grew steadily worse until he was completely paralyzed.

He is survived by two sons, Clifford of Storm Lake, and Lee of near Otranto. One sister, Mrs. York Covey of Waterloo, a nephew, Grant Covey, and five grandchildren, Roy, Pearl, Earl, Zella and Theodore, also survive.

The son of Edwin and Nuebelia Fritcher, Charles Edward Fritcher was born in St. Ansgar, December 13, 1868. He was married to Mary Valinda Alexander on December 15, 1892. His entire life was spent here and he gained his education in the public schools. He was employed in the post office and as a mail carrier on the rural routes for many years.
