Funeral services for Petrine Finstad were held at the First Lutheran church on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. O.A. Langehough in charge. Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery.

Petrine Finstad was born at Novdre Land, Norway, December 3, 1857, the daughter of Andreas and Agnette Finstad.

The family emigrated to America more than 60 years ago, and lived in the vicinity of St. Ansgar, most of the time in a home they built southwest of town.

Her parents, four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her departure one daughter, Hilda Finstad, who has cared for her in her last illness. She was kind and helpful, willing to assist when help was needed, and a great friend of children.

The last few years her health failed and at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 2 days she passed away on Friday, April 5, 1946.
