Charles City: Peter John Green, 78, died Monday at Chautaqua Guest Home where he had lived the last six months. He had been ill several years with Parkinsons Disease.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Kathryn Weber, also a resident at the hoe; two daughters, Mrs. John C Smith, Charles City; Mrs. Everett Beck, McArthur, Calif.; four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters. A son, Francis was killed in World War II, and a daughter died at birth.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hauser Funeral Home in charge.
